RULES OF DISCIPLINE
TESTS
AND EXAMINATIONS
FEE-REGULATIONS
SCHOOL
UNIFORM
WORKING
HOURS, WORKING DAYS AND ATTENDANCE
ADMISSION
The ensuing academic year commences on 26th May 2000.
Admissions are given on test and production of Transfer
Certificate. Test fee will be
collected. Admission should
be done within three days after the allotment of seat.
SCHEME OF STUDIES
The
course of secondary education is of three years duration.
The
following are the subjects for study:
I
Language --
Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit.
II
Language -- English.
III Language – Hindi, Kannada.
Mathematics.
Science
-- with provision for
practicals.
Social
Science – with provision for practicals and project work in Geography.
Craft and
Drawing practicals.
Note:
Those who do not study Kannada as the First Language have to select
Kannada Compulsorily from the Third Language group.

OTHER SUBJECTS
a)
Physical Education [which is an exam, subject].
b)
Participation in athletics and games is compulsory for students.
c)
Fine arts
d)
S U P W
e)
Health Education
f)
Work Experience [music, tailoring]
g)
Newspaper in education.

PRINCIPLES OF THE INSTITUTION
We
expect all the pupils to follow the following principles:
1.
To come to school daily in clean and neat uniform.
2.
To attend the prayer-assembly in time before the commencement of
the day’s work. Every pupil
should possess the prayer-book.
3.
To co-operate with other students in and out of the school.
4.
To be polite and set a good example in talk and behaviour.
5.
To complete the work assigned by the teachers from time to time and
submit it for scrutiny in time.
6.
To help the school-mates who are in need of help.
7.
To keep the school premises clean and tidy.
8.
To obedient to teachers, elders and leaders.
9.
To be polite and understanding towards others.
10.
To be a good example to the Juniors.

RULES OF DISCIPLINE
1.
A pupil’s absence without a leave note from the parent will be
viewed seriously and such pupils will not be allowed to attend school.
2.
Any kind of damage done by the pupils to school equipment,
furniture, building etc., will have to be made good by parents.
3.
Shouting inside the school is strictly prohibited.
4.
Personal cleanliness and hygiene are expected from all pupils.
5.
Books (other than the prescribed text-books), periodicals or
magazines should not be brought into the school premises.
6.
Pupils must be alert and look after their own things.
It is not advisable for pupils to have money or valuable jewels.
Before leaving the school premises they should check their books
and other belongings.
7.
Every pupil is expected to keep up the reputation of the school by
his or her good manners. Hence
all the pupils must follow the principles without fail.
8.
Pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct
both inside and outside the school. Hence
any sort of misbehavior will be strictly dealt with.
9.
Any pupil who is persistently mischievous or is guilty of
malpractice, name will be struck of rolls in the interest of other pupils.
10.
Pupils are not permitted to come late to school.
10A.X Std. Pupils must attend classes till the date of issue of
Admission Tickets for the SSLC Examination, as they should get the full
benefit of teacher’s guidance. They
should give a written undertaking to this effect.
ABSENCE
11.
No leave of absence will be granted without previous
leave-application from parents or guardians.
12.
In case of absence without leave letter, the pupil on returning to
school must bring a leave note signed by the parents or guardians.
A pupil who is sick must produce medical certificates.
13.
All the pupils must attend
school on the reopening day, after each vacation.
14.
Any person who does not participate in physical training must
produce a doctor’s certificate to the Principal.
15.
Repeated absence without leave letter from the parents for more
than a week renders the pupils name liable to be struck off the roll.
16.
In case the pupil is absent for more than 3 days, absent card will
be sent to the parent. If the
absence is repeated, registered letter will be sent at the expense of the
parent concerned.
Attendance
at the physical education classes is compulsory.
These activities form part of the regular time-table for all the
classes.

TESTS
AND EXAMINATIONS AND RULES
FOR PROMOTION
Pupils’ progress is
monitored at all times and records are kept.
There will be 6 tests in each subject for the whole year.
There will be a mid-term
examination in September/October & annual Examination in
March.
17.
Promotion of the pupils will be considered on the basis of the
rules of promotion. The
performance of the pupils should be good throughout the years.
18.
If a pupil falls sick during the Annual Examination, his or her
performance in the tests and Mid-term Examination will be taken into
consideration for promotion according to the weightage prescribed.
19.
Pupils who fail for more than one year in the same class will not
be permitted to continue their studies in our institution.
20.
No pupil should be absent for the tests and I and II Terminal
Examinations without the prior permission of the Principal.
21.
Parents are requested to sign the test papers and the progress
report every month and send them back to the class-teachers.
22.
There is no provision for reconsideration of failures. Results once declared according to the rules of the Education
Department cannot be altered. Parents
are requested not to take the trouble of meeting the Principal or
management for this purpose.
23.
Every pupil has to put in 75% attendance of the number of working
days if he/she has to attend the Final Examination.
24.
There will be preparatory examinations for X Standard in the second
week of January and February 2001.
25.
Parents should provide 2 sets of new uniform to their wards every
year.

FEE-REGULATIONS
26.
Fee once paid neither refundable nor transferable.
If the pupil leaves the school in the middle of the year,
the fees for the full term (I term and II quarter, II Term-II and IV
quarter) must be paid before T.C. is issued.
27.
Fees is to be paid quarterly in advance.
The four quarters are noted below:
I
quarter -- May to July
II quarter -- August to October
III quarter -- November to January
IV quarter -- February to April
The first quarter (May to July) with annual collections must be
paid in the month of May itself. Fees
should be paid in the 1 month of every year.
28.
Fees must be paid within 15th of every month failing
which a fine of Rs.5/- shall be levied every month.
Accumulated arrears for more than 2 months entails removal of the
name from the roll after which readmission will have to be sought.
29.
Tuition fee is collected for all the 12 months.
30.
Since this institution is unaided, the fees structure may be
revised from time to time to meet the additional expenses such as staff
salary, building renovation, school equipment etc.,
FEE
COLLECTION HOURS:
Time: 8.30 a.m. to
1.00 p.m.
Fee collection is done on all working days ( Monday to Friday)
except Saturdays.

SCHOOL
UNIFORM
Monday
to Friday - daily uniform.
Saturday
-- White uniform.
Note:
Uniform should bear the date of manufacturer.
The pupils are expected to come in full and neat uniform on all
working days.
Contact
the Principal for details of uniform.
Shoes:
Monday to Friday -- Black shoes with navy blue socks.
Saturdays
-- White shoes and white socks.
1.
White Power or North Star or any other type of fancy shoes and
fancy socks are not permitted.
2.
In the event of failure to comply with the rules mentioned above,
the pupil concerned will not be allowed to attend school.

WORKING
HOURS, WORKING DAYS AND ATTENDANCE

a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch Break :
12-15 to 12-45 p.m.
The School works for 6 days in a week except on Sundays and
holidays specified in the calendar.
Attendance
will be taken immediately after the pupils enter their classes in the
morning as well as in the afternoon.
Principal
and Parents' contact:
The parents/guardians who wish to contact the Principal with
regard to their wards are requested to call only during the timings
allotted for interviews with parents.
Parents who wish to contact the teachers can do so only during the
specific time allotted on Saturdays:
However
if the parents are not able to contact the Principal due to some reasons,
they can send a written communication which will be promptly looked into.
Text books and Note books:
The cost of books should be paid in advance on intimation and the
date of issue of books will be intimated.
All the textbooks and notebooks prescribed for various classes will
be sold only in complete sets. There
is no provision for loose sale of books.
Rules and regulations mentioned in the prospectus are framed
keeping in mind the general requirements and morale of the institution.
Hence parents and pupils are
requested to cooperate with the school authorities in observing these
rules and regulations.
